Counseling is the process by which you and your counselor will examine the challenges you are facing, and develop possible solutions for resolving those challenges. The process of counseling is unique to each client and counselor, and is a relationship that is focused on helping you meet your personal goals.
For some, your counselor will be a guide and support as you navigate difficult and emotional times. Others will use the counseling process to development new coping skills, communications skills or problem resolution skills to overcome a particular issue. And for those who struggle with mental illness or substance abuse, your counselor will help you become educated about these issues, and the ways in which you can make productive and sustainable change.
The first step to receiving counseling and treatment services is to schedule an assessment. Or, if you have some questions that you would like to ask before scheduling an assessment, just contact our office and we will be happy to talk with you.
