Intensive treatment services address more advanced issues related to substance use and abuse. Those appropriate for this level of service are those who are experiencing significant issues at home, school, work and in their relationships, that relate to their use of substances, and are likely struggling to maintain responsibilities across several areas of life. It is also likely that previous attempts to address these substance use issues were not successful, and a higher level of intervention is warranted.
Intensive treatment services include both individual and group counseling sessions. Services will be customized to meet each person’s individual needs, and typically include both individual and group counseling sessions. These sessions are held on multiple days each week, and provide approximately 10 hours of service to each person.
